Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA seeks an experienced cardiovascular sonographer to perform cardiac ultrasound studies. You will work at the SSH Cardiovascular Center, delivering diagnostic echocardiography for all patient populations served.

This is a full-time day-shift position with a 40-hour work week and a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. Requirements include Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• To perform cardiac ultrasound procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation other than pediatric patients.
• Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient.
• BLS - Basic Life Support.
• Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography.
• Must be able to recognize abnormal structure and be able to correlate this information into a useful study.
• Must be able to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques.
• Must be able to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers.
• Day shifts.
