Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson seeks a Sonographer specialized in cardiac ultrasound to support the Cardio Non-Invasive department. The role involves performing comprehensive echocardiograms, ensuring high-quality imaging, and delivering preliminary findings to attending physicians.

Ideal candidates hold ARDMS/CCI certification, BLS, and are prepared for a demanding call schedule; location includes Tucson campuses with cross-facility coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be CCI eligible or ARDMS certified.
• BLS certification required and must be uploaded to application.
• Call: 5:30 pm to 7 am and every other Sunday; must live within 30 minutes of both facilities.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions via echocardiography.
• Oversees echocardiography services and QC of scanning protocols per ASE/IAC guidelines.
• Educates patients/families about procedures and prepares preliminary findings for physicians.
• Acts as clinical/technical expert in Cardiac Sonographic Imaging for department and mentors staff or students.
• Ensures compliance with professional scope, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards.
