Job summary

Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an Echocardiography Technician - Research to support cardiovascular studies within the Core Laboratory. Qualifications

  • Experience performing echocardiographic imaging and measurements in a clinical or research environment.
  • Knowledge of echocardiography protocols, imaging standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple research projects and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform protocol-specific echocardiographic measurements and image analysis.
  • Ensure study data meets protocol requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate echocardiogram scheduling and study-related imaging activities with sonographers and research teams.
  • Deliver initial and ongoing training to sonographers on protocol-specific imaging techniques and requirements.
  • Upload and manage imaging data using approved research platforms and systems.
