Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Knowledge of ECG techniques and equipment used in testing.
• 6 months ECG tech experience and 6 months stress testing experience preferred.
• Cardiac technician or EEG program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care at a healthcare organization by performing ECG-related procedures.
• Perform 12-lead ECGs, Holter monitor hook-ups, stress testing, and EEG testing as needed.
• Notify physicians, nurses, or managers of abnormal results.
• Notify secretaries of needed supplies.
• Maintain or troubleshoot equipment and escalate issues to Clinical Engineering when unresolved.
• Process test results before and after physician interpretations.
