Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center coordinates the workflow for EKGs, stress tests, Holter and event monitors, and related PFT readings. The role ensures accurate order management, timely completion of studies, and provider sign-off within the EHR, supporting the organization’s mission and values.

Qualified candidates will have an allied healthcare degree, at least three years in cardiology/EKG workflow, and an EKG certification within six months of hire; EHR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a healthcare field.
• Minimum of two years healthcare experience.
• Minimum of three years cardiology and EKG workflow experience.
• EKG certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all cardiac diagnostic studies are accurately linked to appropriate provider orders within the EHR.
• Coordinates the full lifecycle of diagnostic orders, including completion, reconciliation, and closure.
• Identifies and resolves missing, incomplete, or incorrect orders to prevent delays in care delivery.
• Reviews studies for completeness and ensures readiness for timely provider interpretation.
• Coordinates daily workflow for cardiac diagnostics (EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, event monitors, and PFT readings).
• Maintains and manages tracking systems to monitor study completion, interpretation, and reporting.
• Ensures consistency, accuracy, and standardization of diagnostic processes across all sites.
• Identifies workflow inefficiencies and implements solutions to improve operational performance and turnaround times.
• Trains and supports staff and new sites on diagnostic workflows, systems, and standardized processes.
• Supports Epiphany Cloud administrator.
