Job summary

Kansas City Heart Rhythm, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Certified Cardiac Device Tech – Level 2 for a full-time clinic role in Kansas. You will interrogate, re-program, and troubleshoot cardiac devices, closely coordinating with EP nurses, physicians and vendor reps while documenting in EMR.

Travel to regional offices and educate patients on remote monitoring are integral parts of the position. Requirements include CCDS or CDRMS certification and BLS, with at least two years of cardiovascular

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years’ cardiovascular/cardiology technician experience.
• Experience analyzing and reprogramming pacemakers, ICDs, ILRs and CRT devices from multiple manufacturers.
• Remote device transmissions experience preferred.
• Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) or CDRMS from IBHRE required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate, interpret, and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision.
• Troubleshoot device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution.
• Document device analysis in EMR and coordinate with care team.
• Educate patients on device management and remote monitoring protocols.
• Ensure charges are captured for device interrogation.
• Enroll and schedule patients in remote monitoring platforms (Carelink, Latitude, Merlin, Biotronik).
• Monitor patients following established protocols and re-schedule no-shows promptly.
• Travel to regional or satellite offices for device clinics.
• Promote inter-departmental communication and act as a device resource for staff.
