Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA, seeks a registered nurse with expertise in cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders, Holter) to deliver patient-centered care in ambulatory and inpatient settings. You will collaborate with Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, and the cardiac care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include device enrollment and programming, identifying malfunctions, educating patients, and documenting in PaceArt and Epic.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of device functionality, arrhythmias and internal electrograms.
• Must be able to multi-task and efficiently perform job duties.
• Customer focused and have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Enrolls, interrogates, and programs patients with cardiac electronic devices in the in-patient and out-patient settings.
• Accurately identifies malfunctions, alerts, and sub-optimal device operations and follows protocols with programming changes and notifying physicians.
• Follows nursing process in assessing symptomatic patients and provides follow-through such as discussing with Physicians, instructing patients, making follow-up appointments, or taking patients to ED; triages remote alert notifications.
• Responds to urgent/emergency clinical situations when interrogating patient in-clinic, using ACLS protocols.
