Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Cardiovascular Device Nurse to perform interrogations and reprogramming of implanted cardiac devices across inpatient, procedural, and outpatient settings. RN license in state, BLS/ACLS certification, and demonstrated leadership and critical thinking are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
• One year RN experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills; prior experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours; on-call may be required.
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate and reprogram cardiac devices (pacemakers, implantable loop recorders, defibrillators) in inpatient, procedural, and outpatient settings.
• Complete initial interrogations, report generation, charges and documentation in EHR and device management systems.
• Bring acute/urgent issues to providers' attention.
• Maintain TN sponsorship readiness with licensure and VisaScreen when required.
