Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System in Ohio seeks an experienced Device Clinic RN for our cardiac device program. Day shift, 40 hours/week, collaborating with physicians to manage pacemakers/ICDs, perform interrogation and programming, and educate patients. Requires BSN and Ohio RN license, 2+ years in Cardiovascular/EP, CPR and ACLS. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BSN and current Ohio RN license required.
• Two or more years of Cardiovascular and EP experience.
• Current CPR certification, or within 30 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification, or within one year of hire.
• Ability to read, write and explain moderately complex information to staff.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage device patient care with physician oversight.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient clinically for device/rhythm issues.
• Performs device interrogation and programmable adjustments.
• Evaluates care progression and coordinates treatment plans.
• Collaborates with physicians, RNs, and MA staff to address patient needs.
• Develops and implements patient/caregiver teaching plans.
