Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist to join the cardiovascular surgical team at Bethesda North Hospital. You will support complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff, and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes in a high-acuity CVOR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology; non-accredited accepted for hires prior to 2019.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and others in the CVOR.
• Acts as a leader by updating cards and trays and mentors CSTs & RNs in CVOR.
• Communicates professionally with team and patients, especially in high-stress CVOR situations.
• Maintains a safe environment and meets on-call and holiday requirements as needed.
• Pursues educational opportunities related to CVOR advancements and completes required hours of continuing education.
