Job summary

McLaren Health Care seeks a dedicated registered nurse for the 8 S Orthopedics unit in Flint, MI. The role focuses on assessing patients’ physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs and planning nursing care accordingly.

You will ensure care plans are carried out through performance or leadership of subordinate personnel. Responsibilities include documenting status on admission, developing care plans, and adhering to McLaren Flint standards while coordinating care across inpatient units.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed RN to practice in Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Experience in cardiac/critical care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status on admission and continuously thereafter.
• Develop written plan of care with long and short-term goals and nursing actions.
• Adhere to McLaren Flint nursing standards and provide leadership to staff.
• Coordinate care across inpatient units including Cath Lab, ER, ICU, PACU.
