Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV seeks a Charge Nurse for our Cardiovascular Laboratory. You will oversee staff, provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements include a BSN preferred and an active RN license with current BCLS and ACLS. Cardiovascular lab or critical care experience is preferred; this is a full-time day-shift role in an award-winning hospital.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; active RN license required.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications; maintain current.
• Cardiovascular lab or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the cardiovascular lab.
• Directly communicates with staff and with department supervisor; ensures efficient operation.
• Communicate with physicians continuously about patient condition during procedures.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory management and case readiness.
• Monitor physiologic data and patient condition during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
