The role includes assisting with invasive procedures such as diagnostic cardiac catheterization, ICD/pacemaker, electrophysiology, ablation, peripheral interventions, bronchoscopy, and bone marrow harvests, while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• EKG/hemodynamic monitoring required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assorted patient care responsibilities for adults including starting IV's EKG monitoring cardiac outputs and prepping and draping patients.
• Assists with invasive procedures such as; Diagnostic Cardiac catheterization ICD and Pacemaker procedures Electrophysiology and Ablation procedures Diagnostic and Interventional Peripheral procedures Interventional and Diagnostic Bronchoscopy procedures Bone Marrow Harvest procedures.
• Performs quality control functions of the X-ray console/equipment before procedures.
• Assists physician during the procedure. Removes/ pulls arterial and venous sheaths from patient after procedure and apply appropriate manual pressure.
• Records and interprets hemodynamic data using Mac Lab monitoring system.
• Prepares all the equipment sets up field for all cases and cleans room for next procedure..
• Participates in the orientation training and in-services for cardiovascular technologists and other staff in the department.
• Assists with the inventory managing and stocking of supplies and equipment for the Cath Lab.
• Exemplifies Guest and Staff Relations standards in all activities.
