Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist to perform catheterization procedures and assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The role requires monitoring patient status and maintaining equipment to support high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a cath lab or related area, BLS and ACLS (within 90 days), and RCIS/RCES or ARRT credentials considered for hiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• RCIS or RCES certification required within 4 years of hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or related area preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology considered.

Responsibilities

• Operates cardiac catheterization devices and support equipment to assist physicians in obtaining diagnostic information.
• Assists physicians as a sterile assistant in fluoroscopic catheterization procedures.
• Monitors ECG, hemodynamic status and other clinical signs during procedures for patient safety.
• Prepares and sets up patients for procedures to ensure quality outcomes.
• Monitors and maintains equipment to ensure continuous availability for clinical operations.
