Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory in Birmingham, AL. You will assist physicians, prepare imaging and monitoring equipment, and ensure sterile, safe procedural care for interventional cardiology cases.

Requirements include RCIS/ARRT or equivalent and BLS; ACLS preferred. The role is a contract position with opportunities for professional growth in a state-of-the-art lab.

Qualifications

• Current certification or registry as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS/ARRT or equivalent)
• Proven experience operating and troubleshooting imaging and monitoring equipment specific to cardiac cath labs
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection prevention protocols
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities in acute patient care
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with both patients and healthcare professionals
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calibrate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment prior to procedures
• Assist with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker/ICD placements, and other interventional cardiology procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to quality control, radiation safety, and sterile procedures
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, documenting all appropriate data and changes in condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver safe, efficient procedural care
• Manage medical imaging records and ensure proper post-procedural equipment cleaning and maintenance
