Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program or accredited CVT Program.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire is required; BLS certification is required.
• RCIS must be acquired within 2 years.
• Knowledge of radiation safety is essential.
• Basic EKG interpretation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting patients to nursing units.
• Attend to patient needs during cardiac lab procedures.
• Circulates during procedure, as applicable.
• Obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data.
• Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR.
• Participate in On-call per schedule, if applicable.
• Prepare patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures and calibrate pressure transducers.
• Ensure adequate stock for cardiac lab procedures.

Skills

Knowledge of radiation safety

Basic EKG interpretation

Education
