Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures at our Level I Emergency Cardiac Care facility.

This role requires on-call during the week and weekend within 30 minutes of the hospital, with knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Certification progress (ARRT-R/RCIS/RCES) within six months is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate must be from an accredited cardiovascular technology or radiology program.
• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within specified timeframes.
• ARRT-R, RCIS or RCES credentials must be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub assistance for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Serve as a technical resource with cardiovascular anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Learn to assist with structural heart repair procedures and device management.
• Participate in on-call rotations within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist serves as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures for a Level 1 Emergency Cardiac Care facility. Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care environment. Assists with, or will learn to assist with structural heart repair procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, etc.) as well as insertion/removal of cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO, etc.).

This position requires on-call during the week and weekend in a rotation within 30 minutes from the hospital.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology or Graduate of accredited school of radiology is required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RCES) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
