Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment in McAllen, TX. You will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions, and provide scrub support in interventional procedures such as PTCA, stent placement, and EP device work.

The role requires CCI/AART certification, state licensure per contract, ACLS/PALS per contract, and a minimum of 1 year in the Cath Lab. Competitive weekly pay and full benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians withdiagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiacarrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab. TheCardiac Cath Lab Technologist specializes in the care of patients undergoingPTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist functionsas a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in theperformance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac and peripheralvascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CCI or AART certification/registration required
• State Licensure may be required per state/contract
• At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred
• ACLS/PALS per contract requirements
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
