Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to provide direct patient care, scrub for diagnostic and interventional cases, and monitor hemodynamics. You will help manage supplies and contribute to cost efficiency while supporting department improvements.

Required high school diploma, with preference for associate degree or higher and enrollment in invasive cardiovascular technology. BLS/ACLS RCIS/RCES/RT(R) within set timeframes are expected.

Qualifications

• Cath Lab/Special Procedures Lab experience preferred.
• Hands-on patient care and scrub skills for diagnostic/interventional cases.
• Hemodynamic monitoring and documenting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Monitor and document procedures in the hemodynamic system.
• Educate patients and families about the procedure.
• Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.

Job Summary

Job Summary and Qualifications

As aCardiac Cath Lab Technologist,youare responsible for direct and indirect patient care,scrubbing for diagnostic/interventional cases andhemodynamic monitoring. You will assist in ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, cost efficiency, providing appropriate information towards future needs and actively supportsprocess improvement within the department.

• You willscrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures
• You will monitor and document procedure in the hemodynamic system
• You will educate patients and family members regarding the technical aspects of the procedure
• You will assist in ordering supplies/maintaining inventory

Experience

• Cath Lab/Special Procedures Lab experience -Preferred

Education

• High School Diploma – Required
• Associate degree or above – Preferred
• Current Enrollment in an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
• ACLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy– Required within 6 months
• RCIS, or RCES, or RT ( R ) license from an accrediting body – Required within 12 months
