Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking an Invasive Cardio Tech to join the EP/Cath lab team in Memphis. The role involves assisting physicians during cardiovascular diagnostic, interventional, or electrophysiology procedures, and providing patient education and post-procedure care.

The position requires a technical Cardiovascular Technology degree with relevant certifications, strong teamwork, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Proficient and certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or pediatric advanced life support (PALS).
• Must demonstrate the ability and desire to learn and practice clinical competencies of the Invasive Cardio Tech.
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during cardiovascular diagnostic, interventional, or electrophysiology procedures.
• Scrub, monitor, or circulate during surgical procedures in rotation with the team.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care.
• Prepare, maintain, and supply cath lab or EP lab equipment and materials.
• Document care in the patient record and monitor patient status for emergencies.

Cardiovascular Technology - Technical Degree or Diploma

Associates Degree Nursing

High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies

Emerg Medical Tech (EMT) - Technical Degree or Diploma

Paramedic - Technical Degree or Diploma

Respiratory Therapy - Technical Degree or Diploma

Surgical Technology - Technical Degree or Diploma

Ultrasound - Technical Degree or Diploma
