Job summary

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Harper University Hospital is seeking a qualified Cardiology/Cardivasc/Cath Lab professional to perform complex hemodynamic procedures and data management under supervision.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, monitoring, imaging system operation, and contribution to quality improvement initiatives. Requires Cardiovascular Tech education and relevant certifications, with a Day shift in Detroit, MI.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Science with a major in Cardiovascular Technology or an equivalent program/experience.
• Registration required: NBCRTS RCIS/RCES or ARRT with CI/CV Cardiac/Vascular Certification.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS or PALS certification depending on setting.

Responsibilities

• Record hemodynamic/physiological waveforms and perform related calculations; maintain equipment and inventories.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor status.
• Assist with basic and advanced life support and other duties to ensure quality patient care and safety.
• Serve as a resource to staff on theory, practice, and operation of hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Analyze and upgrade systems to maintain data integrity and CMS/JCAHO/compliance; support imaging tasks to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Gather patient information and maintain examination records; ensure efficient patient flow and equipment use.
• Participate in creating physician, staff and department reports and KPI metrics.
• Engage in data analysis and process improvements for efficiency and reimbursement.

Education

Associates degree in Science with Cardiovascular Technology
