Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. You will assist physicians, monitor patients, operate imaging and physiologic equipment, and contribute to a sterile environment.

Requirements include an allied health degree, RCIS or ARRT/TX RT(R) eligibility, and AHA ACLS certification. The role includes teaching responsibilities and patient transport duties.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Licenses and/or Certifications required and preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certified within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as monitor tech during procedures in cath lab; interprets EKGs and pressures.
• Operates imaging equipment under physician direction; acts as scrub tech.
• Monitors patient status as circulator; assists with transport and sterile setup.
