Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Requires NC RN license and cardiology program credentials. On-site, full-time with on-call duties and a sign-on bonus. Two years’ registry experience preferred.

The role includes emergency preparedness, patient care during procedures, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid imaging and surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience within registry/license scope preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire.
• Proficient in procedure room roles (Circulator, Recorder, Scrubbing).
• Professional communication skills with diverse age groups.
• Analytical skills for scheduling, equipment, and instruction comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Preparedness: Ensure equipment and supplies are ready; respond to emergencies.
• Ensure Safe & Therapeutic Environment: Maintain safety practices and report malfunctions.
• Record Keeping: Maintain departmental records and enter patient data and charges.
• Communication: Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
• On-Call: 24-hour emergency call coverage for Cardiac Cath Lab with rotating schedule.
• Patient Care: Monitor patient stability and assist with procedures and medications.
• Education & Consultation: Mentor staff and participate in continuing education.
