Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital in Florida seeks a Paramedic with hospital or pre-hospital experience to support cardiac and vascular procedures. You will prepare for and monitor diagnostic and interventional procedures, set up equipment, perform hemodynamic calculations, and assist surgeons in fast paced environments.

The role requires eligibility for Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Cath Tech, or ARRT certification within 12 months, BLS and ACLS, and Florida paramedic licensure or eligible foreign

Qualifications

Minimum one year experience as a Paramedic in hospital or pre-hospital setting.
Must obtain Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Cath Tech or ARRT certification within 12 months of hire.
Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
Visual and hearing senses adequate to assist with varied operative procedures.
Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation for and monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Set up and breakdown of equipment; perform hemodynamic calculations for patient reports.
Support cardiac/vascular procedures including pacemaker insertions and other interventions.
