Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, OH, is seeking an RN Specialist for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will join a world‑class team delivering care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures and related services.

The role includes admitting patients, pre‑ and post‑procedure care, monitoring during procedures, and serving as preceptor and educator as needed. Schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with on‑call every third weekend; a supportive environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure in Ohio as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to interpret cardiac arrhythmias
• Ability to take call and reach hospital within 30 minutes for STEMI

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers within the facility and to outlying facilities.
• Provide patient care during Cardiac Cath Lab procedures including left/right heart caths and related devices.
• Record and monitor arterial pressures, EKG and vital signs during procedures; administer medications as ordered.
• Admit, assess and provide pre- and post‑procedure care to patients in POD for H&V procedures.
• Cross-train between other areas in the Heart and Vascular Center and participate in community wellness programs.
