Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Lutheran Health Network provides patient-centered care across the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. The role includes pre-, intra-, and post-procedure duties, with an emphasis on education and evidence-based practice.

This is a full-time position with a 7:30a–4:00p schedule, plus call requirements one day per week and every sixth weekend.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active state licensure.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Experience in cath lab or critical care settings is valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care in line with nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications per physician orders and monitor effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures and support post-procedure care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards across the unit.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans.
• Document care thoroughly and participate in quality improvement.
