Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Lutheran Hospital provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

This full-time role includes pre-, intra-, and post-procedure tasks, medication administration, patient education, infection control, and active participation in emergencies, with a 7:30a–4:00p schedule, on-call one day weekly and every sixth weekend.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required in Indiana or compact state.
• Cath Lab experience preferred.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team during cath lab procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection control practices and safe environment; participate in emergencies and code team activities.
