Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The role focuses on clinical patient management, nursing leadership, and collaboration with physicians and staff in a high-volume telemetry environment.

The ideal candidate has a Virginia RN license (compact license acceptable), BSN preferred, and must obtain ACLS and BCLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Two years of telemetry experience in a high volume unit and successful completion of critical care course.

Responsibilities

Clinical management of the patient.
Functions as a Registered Nurse by role - modeling professional behavior.
Assures satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians and staff).
Participates in Quality Management activities and promotes cost-effective unit operations.
Operates diagnostic imaging system and restocks/cleans work area.
Provide leadership in educational activities and mentorship within the department.
Participates in unit on-call schedule and monitors Pharmacy Accudose Narcotic Inventory.
