Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab PRN RN to join our healthcare team. The RN will provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and protocols, while taking responsibility for several patients within a designated time frame.

The role emphasizes coordinating patient care across disciplines, implementing orders from physicians and nurses, and planning for discharge with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start
• ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year Cath Lab experience required
• Interventional Cath Lab or critical care experience preferred
• 30 minute call window required

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
