Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Registered Nurse per diem for the Cardiac Cath Lab at East Campus. The role includes assessing patients and delivering care during diagnostic and interventional procedures, circulating or monitoring cases in coronary, carotid, renal, and lower-extremity workups, and providing accurate documentation.

The RN will lead and support other team members, uphold ANA standards, and contribute to AMI program excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license issued by the State of California.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within six months.
• Minimum one year of recent acute care RN experience in Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all staff, physicians, patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and deliver care during cardiac and peripheral vascular catheterization procedures.
• Circulate or monitor diagnostic and interventional procedures for coronary, carotid, renal, and lower-extremity cases.
• Provide nursing interventions and document accurately in electronic records.
• Direct and guide other healthcare team members and support AMI program.
