Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN to provide specialized care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The role involves patient assessment, medications, assisting physicians, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring safety throughout the perioperative process.

The position requires rotating call during nights, weekends and holidays, with current ACLS certification preferred or required after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate’s degree.
• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS and Basic Life Support certification preferred or required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Administer medications and assist physicians during procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative care.
• Provide patient education and support recovery.
• Maintain documentation in medical records accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality cardiac care.
