Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse to deliver fundamental, knowledge-based care and coordinate patient education across the care continuum.

The role requires licensure, approved nursing education, and the ability to work in a dynamic cath lab environment with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ACEN/CCNE accredited).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted nursing license in the U.S. or District of Columbia.
• State licensing eligibility and bridge program options may apply.
• Foreign nursing education requires degree equivalency validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based procedural and peri-procedural care.
• Coordinate patient education, self-management, and transitions of care.
• Administer medications and assist during procedures per policy.
• lead or participate in quality improvement and outcomes initiatives.
• offer guidance and mentorship to staff and nursing students.
• maintain readiness for call and variable daily schedule.
