Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to provide life-saving cardiovascular care within a high-acuity procedural environment. You will collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nurses to deliver precise care and participate in an expanding, procedure-focused career path.

Applicants should have a nursing degree with Virginia RN licensure and at least 1 year of relevant experience or strong potential in ICU/ER settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program; BSN required within 5 years.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cardiac/critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and monitor during procedures including interventional cardiology cases and emergent activations.
• Manage patients with ICU-level acuity and continuous monitoring.
• Work within a 4-person team model (2 RNs and 2 Techs) to ensure safe procedural flow.
• Anticipate physician needs and support complex procedural workflows.
• Handle specialized equipment and maintain procedural readiness.
• Complete detailed documentation to support continuity of care.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent cardiac cases after hours.
