The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to deliver advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will care for patients undergoing heart procedures and support a culture of clinical excellence.

Qualifications include DC RN license and 1–2 years in critical care or cath lab, with BLS/ACLS. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the District of Columbia (or eligible to obtain).
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent critical care, Cath Lab RN, or similar experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, hemodynamics, and monitoring equipment.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and sedation as needed.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and equipment.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
