George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to deliver advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will assist physicians during catheterization procedures, monitor patient status, administer meds and sedation, and provide pre- and post-procedure education to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Strong critical thinking and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in DC (or eligible to obtain).
• 1–2 years of recent critical care or Cath Lab RN experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures and hemodynamics.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and sedation as needed.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and equipment.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) at George Washington University Hospital is a specialized, high‑acuity unit dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Our Cath Lab features advanced technology and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovative and patient‑centered cardiac care. Position Summary
