Baltimore Washington Medical Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role supports a 24/7 operation, requires 1 year of RN experience with strong cath lab/ICU/ED background, and an RN license valid in Maryland.

The work includes clinical care, education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have or pursue a BSN within five years if hired after July 1, 2018, and professional certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Maryland RN licensure is required prior to orientation.
• At least 1 year of RN experience is required.
• 2 years of ED or ICU RN experience is strongly preferred.
• Employees hired on or after July 1, 2018 must complete a BSN within 5 years of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate independent care to patients within the cath lab and maintain high standards of patient safety.
• Serve as a clinical resource and apply evidence into practice; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrate unit leadership and participate in governance, staff development, and performance feedback.
• Support recruitment and retention efforts at the unit level and contribute to education activities.
