Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab to lead care planning and delivery using nursing processes: assessment, implementation, and evaluation. You will supervise plan of care, uphold Magnet standards, and promote patient and family centered care.

You will perform pre-op assessments, administer medications, collaborate with ICU, Med-Surg, and anesthesia teams, monitor patients during procedures, ensure documentation in EMR, and participate in discharge planning

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred or currently enrolled in BSN program.
• Proficiency in computers, EMR, and Cerner preferred.
• National Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) and/or equivalent certification within 5 years of hire preferred.
• RN licensure in Florida or equivalent multi-state license must be active.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op patient assessments, document vitals, weight, height, and labs.
• Verify parental consents and ordered medications.
• Plan and implement the care plan in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Administer and manage medications following six rights of medication administration.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and notify physicians of changes.
