Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN, is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. You will provide direct patient care during diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures and assist with sedation and monitoring.

The role requires TN RN licensure (or compact state), ACLS/BLS certifications, and a nursing diploma. The position offers a day shift, full-time schedule with a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in TN or a multistate license (Compact State) obtained prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab during diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Assess, prepare and position patients; perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as needed.
• Prepare, implement and document the plan of care; communicate patient status to physicians before, during and after procedures.
• Perform and facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures as required.
• Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
