Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role is full-time days with pay range $41.24–$53.47 per hour.

The RN will provide specialized care for adults undergoing cardiovascular procedures, support the lab team, and ensure patient safety and readiness of equipment. Collaboration with cardiologists and staff is essential for quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications on hire and maintained.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Lab, or Critical Care.
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular procedures.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data before, during, and after procedures.
• Document patient condition and report changes to physicians and care team.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for readiness.
• Maintain inventory levels and coordinate required supplies.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the care team to deliver high-quality care.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per standards.
