Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to support diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab and specials labs. The nurse will function as monitor or circulator, provide direct patient care, administer medications, start IVs, and prepare patients for examinations.

Mentorship and ongoing education are emphasized. Under general supervision, responsibilities include documentation, orientation support for new staff, and ongoing performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Previous Cath Lab, Emergency room, Critical Care, or Stepdown RN experience preferred.
• (RN) Registered Nurse: Associates Degree in Nursing Required, Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Basic Cardiac Life Support

Responsibilities

• Assist with all diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab as monitor or circulator.
• Provide individual nursing care and administers medications.
• Starts IVs, prepares patients for examination, documents information.
• Assists with orientation/education of new Cath Lab employees, staff competency checks and scheduling of in-services.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, the Cath Lab RN assists with all diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath and specials labs as monitor or circulator, provides individual nursing care, administers medication, starts IV’s, operates equipment as needed, prepares patients for examination, documents appropriate information, interacts with patients and physicians, assists with orientation/education of all new Cath Lab employees, assists with maintenance of staff competency checks and scheduling of in-services, assists with performance improvement, performs related duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need
