A leading healthcare organization seeks a Radiology Technologist to operate diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in patient care during cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Radiology Technology and relevant certification, along with experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of heart and cardiovascular system (angiograms), during cardiac catheterization, to aid physician in diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, quality control monitoring and reporting and equipment maintenance. Assists with EP cases. Permitted to change patient from portable O2 to wall O2.
Education
Minimum:
Graduate of a Radiology Technology Program
Preferred:
Registration/Certification/Licensure
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Experience
Minimum:
One year Radiology Technologist experience.
Preferred:
Two years invasive/interventional radiology and/or two years in a full service Cardiac Cath Lab.
Other Requirements:
Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle medications to include prescription and non-prescription medications. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.
