Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab is seeking a per diem Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will work in a fast-paced lab, ensuring image quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities include performing radiologic imaging, assisting with hemodynamic monitoring, patient prep, equipment operation, and timely submission of images for interpretation. On-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years radiologic technology experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Knowledge of cardiac and peripheral vascular anatomy and radiographic principles.
• Current California CRT license; ARRT certification preferred.
• Awareness of radiation safety, sterile technique and infection prevention.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic imaging for cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Assist with hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing, and first‑assist responsibilities.
• Verify orders, obtain histories, and ensure informed consent.
• Operate fluoroscopic equipment following radiation safety standards.
• Assist with catheterization tools and devices during procedures.
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout procedures.
• Process and submit diagnostic images promptly for interpretation.
• Assist with patient transport as needed.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and rooms for readiness.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives.
• Cross-train staff and support new employee orientation.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
