Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking an experienced nurse leader to manage the Cardiac Cath Lab team and patient care delivery, ensuring high standards of practice and safety.

You will supervise staff, coordinate resources, monitor budgets, and participate in performance improvement initiatives across the department.

This role requires California RN licensure, a BSN or MSN, and at least three years in a cardiac cath or critical care setting, with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated teaching/education/in-service skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation and equipment, and infection control techniques
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff through prior lead experience
• Experience with conscious sedation, circulating, monitoring and scrubbing for Cardiac Cath Lab patients
• Current California RN license and BSN/MSN in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Manage human resources and direct patient care activities in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Direct patient care activities and monitor unit budgets
• Participate in departmental and medical center wide performance improvement projects
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and colleagues
