Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the cardiac catheterization lab. The RN will deliver safe nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac cath procedures, with responsibilities spanning pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Colorado RN license, BLS, and ALS; RCIS is preferred and encouraged to obtain within one year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.
• Two years of cardiac catheterization experience.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Colorado; BLS and ALS.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient upon admission to the cardiac cath lab, ensuring labs, orders, and consents are in the chart.
• Provide pre/intra/post-procedure nursing care for diagnostic/therapeutic adult cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and communicate changes to physician.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available for pre/intra/post procedure.
