UC Davis Health is seeking Cardiovascular Technologists for the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) to support diagnostic and interventional procedures in a 4-room lab and a hybrid OR. Positions require CVT training, AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong hemodynamic knowledge.

Roles cover scrub tech duties and clinical research in a 100% on-site environment. Shift hours are 6:45 AM–5:15 PM, with 10‑hour shifts; compensation is hourly with benefits including medical, dental/vision, and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)/Electrophysiology program or Allied Health Sciences program is required.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular imaging and hemodynamic equipment, EMR and inventory management systems.
• Ability to perform all roles of the Cath Lab Scrub Tech.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology.
• Skills to work accurately and quickly under pressure.
• Judgment skills to be able to make independent clinical decisions within scope of practice.
• Ability to set priorities, organize work independently for self and others.
• Knowledge and recognition of pressure waveforms and ECG analysis.
• Knowledge of Cath Lab supplies.
• Ability to teach safety practices and equipment operational practices.
• Ability to participate in implementing standards of patient care.
• Ability to participate in establishing policies and procedures and in ongoing CQI program.
• Ability to provide orientation and instruction to new Cath lab staff and teaching to cardiology fellows, nursing students and visitors.
• Willingness and ability to work in a cooperative fashion with other staff members.
• Ability to utilize chain of command for questions or escalations.
• Knowledge and skills to comply with AORN standards
• Ability to work over-time as required

Responsibilities

• 80% - Assists with endovascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab and OR Hybrid performed by Adult Cardiology and Intervention, Pediatric Intervention, and Vascular Surgery.
• 5% - Participates in clinical research.
• 5% - Maintain the quality and safety of the work environment.
