- AS completion required.

- Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

- Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
- Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Credentials: Associates Degree in Related Field OR Certificate of completion for Radiology Program
Unit Details
- Assists cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures.
- Performs technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.
- Sets up and operates a variety of electrical and imaging equipment.
- Selects and operates procedural supplies and equipment based on procedural findings.
- Operates both monophasic and biphasic defibrillators.
- Educates patients during procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure focused patient care.
- Recognizes and assists with anesthesia needs inherent in the care of deeply sedated or anesthetized patients.
- Collaborates with Research RN/Coordinator in carrying out laboratory-based research.
- Provides care to patients undergoing coronary invasive procedures in the Cath Lab.
- Assists in passing sterile guidewires, catheters, and other devices as required, using aseptic technique.
- Prepares instruments for sterilization and prepares a sterile field.
- Accurately interprets EKG and alerts the physician to any irregular activity.
- Assumes accountability for patient care by directing team members, if necessary, so that a standard of excellence and optimal patient outcomes can be achieved.
- Trains and mentors team members.
- Checks and evaluates equipment to ensure adequate performance and general safety on a daily basis.
- Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve equipment within the area.
Shift & Scheduling
- Weekend shifts rotate.
- Holiday shifts rotate.
Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
