The role requires NP/PA credentials, strong Cardiology knowledge, and NYS licensure. ACLS/BLS are mandatory, and duties include patient testing, education, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• MSN or MS required for NP/PA role in cardiology.
• Licensure to practice in New York State is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Take medical history and perform physical exams on patients.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and plans of care.
• Monitor progress and document in medical records.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
• Provide patient education regarding tests and post-discharge care.
• Assist physicians during tests and procedures and respond to emergencies.
