Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist to perform specialized cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular imaging.

The role requires ARRT certification or RCIS, with MRT/LMRT within 9 months and ACLS within 90 days. Candidates should have strong communication, teamwork, and maintenance skills in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an AAHEP Radiology Program or RCIS program.
• ARRT certification or RCIS, plus MRT/LMRT within 9 months of start date.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintained.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR or equivalent at orientation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies and/or electrophysiology.
• Lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with intra-procedure team to provide safe patient care and Universal Protocol adherence.
• Assist with patient identification, preparation and draping; read and discuss protocols; select equipment accordingly.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot to ensure operability.
• Identify process improvements and monitor results to enhance department goals.
• Stay current with cardiovascular technology developments and integrate knowledge into practice.
