Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in alignment with department standards and nursing models. You will collaborate with medical providers to advocate for patients and families, ensuring effective care planning and education.

The role requires an RN license in Virginia (or a valid multi-state Compact) and an active BLS certification. Graduation from an approved nursing program is mandatory, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or associate's degree from a professional nursing program (required).
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program (preferred).
• Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA (required).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care.
• Documents administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and adjust a holistic care plan.
