Job summary

Trinity Health in Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a 6 East Cardiac ICU/PCU setting. The position involves assisting with ADLs, specimen collection, and IV access in a high-acuity environment.

Shifts available include 6:30 am-3:00 pm and 7:00 am-7:00 pm. Full-time status with every other weekend/holiday requirements. Education: high school diploma or GED; prior direct care experience or completion of PCT/CNA/MA/EMT programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of direct care experience (acute or long term) or completion of PCT, CENA, MA, or EMT course.

Responsibilities

• Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
• Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation, and feeding.
• Collect specimens (blood, blood cultures) and manage peripheral IV catheters with accurate documentation.
• Care for critically ill cardiac patients in a progressive care setting.
